Special 4-night "Watercolor Journaling" and "Bookmaking with Brenda Books" retreat at beautiful Asilomar in Pacific Grove, CA
November 13 - 117, 2013
Join us for our sixth year! After so many requests to learn how to make lovely watercolor journals, we have asked the lovely Brenda Jatho, of Brenda Books to come back and teach us how to create a hardbound watercolor journal on our first full day, Thursday, Nov 14th. She will bring all of the supplies necessary to glue, sew and create your own hand bound watercolor journal.
And then, we will continue our retreat spending time learning drawing, watercoloring and journaling in those very journals we just made through the techniques we teach in "Illustrated Watercolor Journaling" over an extended long weekend.
We will be staying at the lovely and historic Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, CA. Check-in is 4pm on Wednesday, Nov 13th. We will have a short introductory meet and greet on the first evening. We will have a full day of bookmaking instruction on Thursday, a full day of watercolor journaling instruction and demos, on Friday, including plenty of time to explore the grounds and get some great pages into your journals. On Saturday afternoon we are teaching and then an excursion: to Carmel to draw? to the Aquarium? to Point Lobos? It is up to you! We will have final instruction on Sunday morning, including time to complete pages in your journal and share with the class. Check out is on Sunday at noon.
